Baseball Spring 2026 - Spring 2026

Baseball Spring 2026 Divisions

Single A Division

  • Age: 6–7 year old players
  • Experience: 1 year of T-Ball recommended
  • Gameplay: Primarily coach-pitch, with limited kid-pitch introduced toward the end of the season. Some limited inter-town games may be played.
  • Evaluations: Attendance is strongly encouraged.

Double AA Division

  • Age: Primarily 8 year old players and stronger 7 year old players
  • Teams: Chosen by draft
  • Gameplay: Primarily player-pitch with some coach-pitch. Modified Little League rules. Games include both in-town and inter-town teams.
  • Evaluations: Attendance is required.

Triple AAA (Minors) Division

  • Age: 9–10 year old players, with some 11 year old players depending on team sizes and skill levels
  • Exceptions: 8-year-old players may enter the AAA (Minors) draft upon request. 12-year-old players may request to remain in AAA due to certain circumstances.
  • Teams: Chosen by draft. Players not drafted will be placed in the AA Division.
  • Gameplay: Modified Little League rules with limits on base stealing. Games include both in-town and inter-town teams.
  • Evaluations: Attendance is required

Majors Division

  • Age: Primarily 11–12 year old players
  • Exceptions: 9–10 year old players may enter the Majors draft upon request
  • Teams: Chosen by draft. Players not drafted will be placed in the Minors (AAA) Division.
  • Gameplay: Modified Little League rules
  • Evaluations: Attendance is required

Senior League

  • Age: 13–15 years old
  • Home Field: Peck Street Field (not Martin Street)
  • Gameplay: Inter-town games
  • Season Timing: Practices begin in late May. Season runs from June through the end of July.
  • Evaluations: Do not attend.

Softball Spring 2026 - Spring 2026

6U Division Softball

The 6U division introduces players to coach-pitch softball, focusing on fun, skill development, and teamwork. This level bridges the gap between Tee Ball and instructional softball and may include games against Dighton. 

  • Age: 6 or younger as of Sept 1, 2025.
  • Experience: 1 year of Tee Ball.
  • Grades: Kindergarten–1st Grade.
  • Exceptions: May be made by the league after evaluations.

8U Division Softball

8U features intertown competitive games with a mix of coach and player pitch, traveling to Dighton.

  • Age: 8 or younger as of Sept 1, 2025.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of Tee Ball or softball.
  • Grades: 2nd–3rd, or 1st with 1 year Tee Ball and 1 year softball (league discretion).
  • Exceptions: Possible after evaluations.
  • Rules: Modified USA Softball rules.

10U Division Softball

10U offers intertown competitive play, primarily player pitch with limited coach during the season. Teams travel to Dighton and Seekonk.

  • Age: 10 or younger as of Sept 1, 2025.
  • Grades: 4th–5th Grade.
  • Teams: Chosen by draft.
  • Rules: Modified USA Softball rules.

14U Division Softball

14U is intertown competitive play using full player pitch rules.  Travel to Dighton and Seekonk. 

  • Age: 14 or younger as of Sept 1, 2025.
  • Grades: 6th–9th Grade.
  • Teams: Chosen by draft.
  • Gameplay: Stealing and base advancement per USA Softball rules.

T-Ball 

T-Ball is an introductory baseball/softball program for young players, focusing on fun, basic skill development, and learning the fundamentals of the game. Emphasis is on participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

  • Age: Players must be 4-5 years old as of September 1, 2025.

  • Players may be aged 3.5 yo with parent as a volunteer

  • Hit from a "T." Some limited coach pitch in the second half of the season based on player progress.

What you will need:

  • Helmet with facemask (RYBSA requires facemasks in all divisions)
  • Bat
  • Glove
  • Baseball pants
  • Cleats
